Mission Trip Updates:

The THBA Alaska mission team spent 6 days in Palmer, AK in late June leading VBS and doing light construction for the Bodenburg Butte Baptist Church. Nine team members from Broadlawn and Pure Air Baptist Churches participated. Andy Cordray of Pure Air Baptist, Novinger, led the effort.

The Wisconsin mission team spent a week doing day camp activities with children at Midvale Baptist Church. Some of the team assisted with two ethnic church plants (an Ethiopian/Eritrean church and a Hispanic church). The teams want to thank THBA for their support throughout the association missions fund.

Association Churches Urged to Give Used Literature to Love Packages

Love Packages is a ministry in Butler, IL which collects Christian literature and ships it to English-speaking countries around the world.  In 2018 they shipped 1,592 tons (3,184,000 pounds) of literature to countries like the Philippines, South Africa, and Ghana.  It is estimated that every piece of literature on the mission field will have an average of 20 reads.  We can help by collecting our used Sunday School literature, magazines, books (non-fiction), Bibles, tracts, devotionals, etc.  Giving Hope Ministries in Kirksville will come to your church and collect the materials that you collect.  Call 660-216-4183 for pickup.  This won't cost you anything and is a great way to recycle materials for the Kingdom!  You can learn more about Love Packages at https://lovepackages.org/

2018 Report

During the 2018 summer months THBA churches joined together for two mission trips and evangelism at the Missouri State Fair.  Pastor Andy Cordray led a team of 10 to Alaska and Brother Richard Nations led a team of 10 to Wisconsin.  All together 6 churches joined for short-term missions.

We had six individuals from 4 churches participate in evangelism at the State Fair.
State Fair Preliminary Totals:  1,140 Gospel Conversations; 50 Total Decisions (salvations and rededications).

We would like to mention that these were not the only ministries participated in by THBA churches or members.  Our churches participated in Disaster Relief, Foreign Missions, VBS, and other gospel ministries throughout the year.  Thank you for striving to fulfill the Great Commission.
