Annual Meeting 2020

 

September 13 at 3 p.m.
Rehoboth Baptist Church, Kirksville
Theme: "We are Better Together"  based on Acts 2 

 
Pastor Curtis Ferguson and the members of Rehoboth Baptist Church, Kirksville, are looking forward to welcoming the association messengers and guests into their new sanctuary and remodeled facilities.
 
In light of the COVID-19 virus, participants are encouraged to practice social distancing while registering and visiting. Face masks are encouraged to be worn during the meeting.

This is the policy regarding messengers as found in the association constitution:
   
 
Each church shall be entitled to three messengers and one additional messenger for each fifty, or fraction of fifty, resident members as reported on the Annual Church Profile. No church shall have more than eight messengers. The Senior Pastor shall be recognized as a messenger of the church and shall be counted as one of the church’s messengers.   

 

Any number of guests may attend the may attend tn addition to the church's messengers.

 
Business Session/Ministry Celebration will begin at 3.  
 


Dinner (available by reservation) at 5:15 pm
A meal will be catered by Noland’s of Macon. It will be served to the messengers using safe, sanitary methods. 
Reservations for the $12 meal are due by Aug. 9. $15 for late reservations. Forms are being e-mailed to all churches and they are available to print out under Links to meeting documents above.

Evening session begins at 6:30 pm 
 
  
Bro. Willie McLaurin, Vice President for Denominational Relations of the Southern Baptist Convention      Executive Committee, Nashville, Tennessee, will be the keynote speaker. Bro. Willie ministers across the nation telling the story of the SBC Cooperative Program ministries and promoting missions work. He formerly was a leadership specialist and assistant to the executive director of the Tennessee Baptist Convention. He will be spending the weekend with the association and encouraging the messengers and guests of the association to be more involved in missions work. He is author of the book Which Race are You Running? Keeping Life in Perspective.   Click here for a link to his bio.
 
Pastors and Ministers are invited to hear Bro. McLaurin speak at a pastor’s breakfast at Rosie’s Northtown Diner, 2801 N. Baltimore, Kirksville on Monday, Sept. 14th at 8 AM.
