Policy regarding messengers to be elected:

As stated in the THBA Constitution and Bylaws (Article III, Section 2): "Each church shall be entitled to three messengers and one additional messenger for each fifty resident members as reported on the Annual Church Profile. No church shall have more than eight messengers. The pastor shall be counted as one of the messengers.”  So please elect the number of messengers your church qualifies for and invite any others to attend as guests.

The afternoon session will feature business matters of the association, elections of officers, financial and proposed budget reports, as well as reports of the ministries of the association.  Ministry partners of the association will be present to give reports. We plan to have representatives from Missouri Baptist Convention, Missouri Baptist Children’s Home, Hannibal-LaGrange University, Grand Oaks Baptist Assembly, Baptist Student Union at Truman State University and the LifeWay Christian Store in Kansas City. Ministry reports from our various THBA coordinators will be available and there will be time for announcements and promotion of activities in the association and in the churches.

Our theme is “Go Out … And Be A Blessing” from Genesis 12:1-3.  As God called Abram to go out from his people and lands to a place God would show him, he found that God wanted to use him to be a blessing to people.”  That is what our association is all about…going outside of our comfort zones, out of our regions, to places that need the Gospel and being a blessing to those people.” We will have some folks reporting to us about their mission trips in Alaska, the State Fair, Mexico, El Salvador, etc. and we know that God is blessing those folks who leave Northeast Missouri to share Christ with them.  That is what an association does best.
