2022 Report to the Association
I would like to thank the association’s churches for their participation and support of the VBS
Ministry. Every year in Missouri alone, over 40,000 children attend a Vacation Bible School. This
is an important ministry where opportunities to witness and to demonstrate the love of Christ
abound. This year, we had an informative round table discussion and curriculum introduction at
our March Early Clinic at LaPa Mexican Restaurant and then we followed up with our VBS
Training for all VBS teams on April 9 at First Baptist Church.
Our VBS Training Team this year consisted of Richard Nations (Rehoboth), Bobbie Bansal
(Fellowship), Leah Sayre (Milan), Amber Balch (Fellowship), Kabir Bansal (Fellowship), Rachel
Nations (Rehoboth), Billy Pippin (LaPlata), Sherry Pippin (LaPlata), and Karen McClaskey
(LaPlata). They did a tremendous job preparing their presentations, lending a helping hand
wherever needed, and doing it all in Jesus’ name!
We once again participated in the LifeWay Association Incentive Program. Any church who
ordered their VBS materials through the THBA, the association got a percentage back for
participating. We received a payment of $325.10, so thank you to all the churches who helped!
Lastly, as this year’s VBS season is beginning to wrap up and come to an end, we are already
preparing for next year’s VBS. Our theme next year is “Twists and Turns: Following Jesus
Changes the Game." Please keep the THBA VBS Training Team in prayer and, more importantly,
keep the children who attend VBS and their parents in fervent prayer that God might work in
their lives. Also, if you haven’t already, please don’t forgot to complete your VBS reports on the
Missouri Baptist Convention website.
Thank you and God Bless!
