Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water the ominous music of COVID19 (remember JAWS?) begins to play in our ears. Churches who were beginning to recover from the effects and confusion of last year’s pandemic are finding themselves dealing with the same confusion, conspiracies, debates, and utter nonsense of it all. Enter the Ministry Department of Worship and Fellowship. Now more than ever we need each other! We are indeed, “Better Together,” and I feel we need to be challenged to step up and shore up the ministries of our dwindling congregations. We have the resources, we have the dollars, we have the people. The question remains do we have the willingness? I think so. I pray so! But that effort needs to be better organized. It is amazing to me that we give several thousand dollars to send folks on mission for a three day Bible School across a continent while there are churches right here in our own association we could be assisting in various areas of ministry. I am continuing to put together a list of those resources that could be draw upon or provide support for some meaningful partnerships right here. We continue to host a monthly Pastor’s Luncheon and would encourage you to attend those. Iron sharpens iron. And I will continue to work to assist you, as I am able, in the areas of Fellowship and Worship. Thank you for allowing me to serve you and I look forward to working with you in the coming year.
